Oetgen Pictures

John D. Oetgen holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He established OETGEN DESIGN in 1977 and established OETGEN PICTURES in 2010. His photographs have been shown at Hagedorn Foundation Gallery and his drawings and paintings have been exhibited at Heath Gallery Atlanta, Atlanta Memorial Arts Center and The Atlanta Arts Festival. Over the years he has designed for: Brunschwig & Fils; Neiman Marcus; Tiffany & Company; International Fine Art Fair, New York; Woodruff Memorial Arts Center, Atlanta; Dining by Design, New York and Atlanta. He was named one of the 100 most influential designers in America by HOUSE BEAUTIFUL in their November 1995 100th anniversary issue and has remained on their top 100 list each succeeding year.

He has been featured in several books including: ART by House Beautiful; INTERIOR VISIONS; GREAT AMERICAN DESIGNERS; FROM PLANTATION TO PEACHTREE; SHOWCASE OF INTERIOR DESIGN; ATLANTA AT HOME; SOUTHERN STYLE; THE NEW AMERICAN LIVING ROOM; and A HOUSE IN THE SOUTH.
